CivicBrand · March 2026 at ArtSpin
The 2026 CivicBrand identity is a flexible system — a core logo plus supporting icons — built to show downtown’s momentum while staying rooted in Wilson’s character. It launched with a banner drop at Bankers Plaza during ArtSpin, then rolled onto merch, print, and the street. Presented by Meg Edwards, Downtown Marketing and Events Strategist and Christina White, Downtown and Business Development Manager and Main Street Director.

Vollis Simpson’s kinetic folk-art sculptures. Wilson’s public-art signature and the heart of Whirligig Park.
Once the world’s largest bright-leaf market. The leaf is heritage — a town that remade itself.
Wilson Warbirds and a deep local baseball tradition. Summer nights on Goldsboro Street.
Brick warehouses and a walkable grid. Galleries, cafés, and shops inside old bones.

Their feed is a neighbor with a good camera: business alerts, Storytelling Tuesday portraits, RIGHT NOW event hits, and recap reels. Photography is daylight, people, storefronts, and food — not moody editorial. On-screen type is big, short, and poster-like: 3–7 words, often RIGHT NOW or the event name with a tilde.

Thank you, Wilson ❤️
Thank you, Wilson ❤️ Last night filled Goldsboro Street with art, live music, and neighbors who showed up for downtown. You made it feel like a Saturday that mattered. See you next time — Downtown Wilson is better when you’re on it.
Their grid: daylight storefronts, plates of food, crowds on Goldsboro. First line is the series title or RIGHT NOW hook — same as the brick bar on the post. Invite a tag or a story share.
Hook / series title, 2–4 short stanzas, human close, then hashtags. Alt text. First comment only if a link is required.
One breath from Nash Street. Neighbor, not press office. #ComeSeeWilson at most.
A single 280-character post. Thread only if the night needs a second beat.
The page’s real shape: opener with ✨, ALL CAPS business name, then 📍 🕗 📞, then “Bring your favorite people…” Hashtags are rare.
Opener + 1–2 sentences + logistics block + close. Storytelling Tuesday uses the quoted series title on line one.
RIGHT NOW energy. Talk like you’re walking someone down Nash Street in the heat, into the AC, toward the music.
On-screen text = poster (3–7 words). Caption is spoken. Shot list from the actual footage. Sound: live-event / street / none if the clip has audio.
Main Street North Carolina: small business, adaptive reuse, destination momentum. Still sounds like Wilson — just with the slang turned down.
Lede with a concrete detail from the media, one supporting graph, a close that invites a visit or a partnership.
Core mark + four supporting icons. Use the mark on avatars and Reels; use the icon row the way the street banners do.
